Award Winning Team!

Dear Program Managers and Assistants:

This newsletter is a couple of days early due to our rapid growth! I am so proud to announce that we have reached our goal of 6 locations! We could not have done this without you! As you all know people come and go students come and go. I would like to take the time to acknowledge Leslie McCuin who has been with Texas Talent Thon for 3 years now and Tiffany Garrison who has been with us for a year now. These ladies have shown true dedication and both have gone way above and beyond for our vision.

Everyone we don't expect you to stay with us forever but it would be nice if you did! We just want you all to know that everyone in our program are hand picked and just know that everyone will not be a perfect fit for us and its alright. We just hope that they somehow have learned something from us or maybe we have inspired them in some small way.

Alena Miles~Has accepted the position of SKST~VP/Director of Operations. In order to free me up to work on other VIP Projcts Alena will be your go to person. I am thrilled to have her on board she can be reached at Ext. 707.

David Bogan~ David is an Award Winner Step Team Coordinator from Pearl C. Anderson. David will be taking over the Starz Stompers and the Gents Mentoring Program. Ext. 705

(We met with Larry Johnson Rec. Center this Saturday and they seem interested in our program. Side note: This is the ideal place for David. Keep your fingers cross.)

We have extended an offer to:
Anastasia Ikner~ Anastasia comes to us from Tyler Junior College's renowned Apache Belles. She is an experienced dancer she brings with her skills in Ballet, Jazz, Praise, Tap and Hip Hop Skills.

Anastasia's Ext. will be 708 pending her background check and if she accepts our offer and terms of the agreements. Ana's title will be Assistant Dance Coordinator.

(We are looking to hire 2 more Cheer/Dance Instructors in the next few weeks. If you have summer plans to take off please let us know now so that we can schedule your replacement.)

Starz Dance Troop

We are starting a new young adult Hip Hop and Dance Ministries Group. This group will be a traveling, performance and competitive team. Made up from instructors and experienced dance students. (Must know or have studied Ballet Hip Hop and Jazz, Ages 16 and up.) We will only have 10 people in this group. Practice every Saturday from 1-3 at Grauwyler $15.00 monthly. (Everyone is invited to attend any and all classes! The ones who must attend are listed below.) If you miss the class you will not be allowed to conduct the class without conducting this training. A trained staff member will conduct your class until you are trained and signed off by myself.

The Lady Starz Steppers also competed in the Stomp Fest 2008 last Friday at the Dallas Convention Center they did a great job!

We want to extend a special thank you to the young ladies from WT White High School (Nnenna, Sha & Torchina) who came out and volunteered their time to teach our girls and our boys step routines. We could not have done it with out you!
